A new year ushers in new beginnings. What a better way to symbolize this new beginning than with a calendar that denotes the days we look forward to. That is why LBC USA and Canada have come up with a competition that will preserve its customers’ artistry and vision with the 2018 calendar as their canvass.

The LBC Calendar Design competition was launched with the theme, “The Way We Move It in the Philippines.”

The artwork must be able to clearly depict the unique ways Filipinos move, may it be through cultural activities like traditional or modern dancing or way of life like transportation.

Patricia Garcia, vice president for sales and operations in the Region, said, “We are extremely excited that our customers and their families can now participate in a nationwide contest through which their artwork can be appreciated by their kababayans.

“More than that, we are happy that these artworks will all be showcased through a calendar, which is what our customers look forward to every turn of the year.” The art contest is open to all LBC customers and non-customers and their families. Submission of entries will be from June 1 to July 31, 2017. Other details of the contest may be viewed at www.lbcexpress.com.

Twelve winners will be chosen, each to take home $500 prize, and their artwork will be featured in LBC’s 2018 calendar. The winners will be announced in mid-August, and the calendar will be released by Thanksgiving Day.

Through the contest, LBC hopes to celebrate the winning masterpieces as a means of bridging the love of their Filipino customers in USA and Canada to their families and countrymen back home.
